The 8-day Nairobi/Meru/Shaba/Masai Mara lodge safari takes visitors on an exciting journey through Kenya’s top safari destinations. The trip includes game drives in Meru and Shaba National Reserves, where visitors can spot unique wildlife species such as the Grevy’s zebra and reticulated giraffe. In Masai Mara, visitors can witness the Great Wildebeest Migration and explore the vast savannahs. Accommodations are in comfortable lodges with all modern amenities.
Day 1: Nairobi
Meet and assist at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by Edant Tours representative upon arrival and transfer to Nairobi Serena Hotel for overnight stay. Overnight: Nairobi Serena Hotel
Day 2: Nairobi –Meru National Park
After breakfast, you will be picked from the hotel and transfer to Wilson Airport for flight to Meru National Park. On arrival at the Meru airstrip, you will be met by your driver guide and transfer to Elsa Kopje Tented Camp. After lunch at the camp, you will spend some time relaxing at the Camp before proceed for evening game drive till sunset.
Meru National Park boasts of 15 Permanent rivers, which meander through otherwise dry terrain flanked by rich vegetation of Doum and Raphia palms. The areas around Elsa’s Kopje are incredibly diverse, varying from dense thickets and wooded grasslands to open plains.
The diversity of Wildlife includes rare species specific to Northern Kenya, such as Grevy’s Zebra, Gerenuk, Somali Ostrich, Reticulation Giraffe, Lesser Kudu, and more than 350 Bird species, as well as buffalo, Elephants, Lion, Cheetah and Leopard.M eals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner: Overnight: Elsa’s Kopje Camp
Day 3: Meru National Reserve
Spend the day in the Kenya’s private Game Reserve, with morning and afternoon game drives. Other activities at the park include guided bush walks, Bush sundowners, Cultural visits, Line fishing (Catfish and Barbel) and Day Excursions to the Tana River with packed lunches.Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and dinner and overnight: Elsa’s Kopje Camp
Day 4: Meru national Park–Shaba National Reserve
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for flight to Shaba National Reserve. On arrival at Shaba airstrip you will be transferred to Joy’s Camp. An elegant Oasis in the arid lands of Samburu. At 1500Hrs, proceed for evening game drive till sunset. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and dinner and overnight at Joy’s Camp
Day 5: Shaba Game Reserve
Spend the day in Shaba National Reserve “the untouched Wilderness”. Surrounded by some beautiful landscape features; the rocky gorge of Ewaso Nyiro River, a number of dotted springs, chilly crystal clear waterfall at Sharinki Falls and Volcanic peaks. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and overnight: Joy’s Camp
Day 6: Shaba Game Reserve- Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for flight to Masai Mara Game Reserve. On arrival at the Mara airstrip, you will be transferred to Elephant Pepper Camp for lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will have evening game drive till sunset. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and overnight: Elephant Pepper Camp
Day 7: Masai Mara National Reserve
Spend the day in the Kenya’s most popular Game Reserve, with morning and afternoon game drives. Other activities at the park include guided bush walks, Bush sundowners and Cultural visits.Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and overnight: Elephant Pepper Camp
Day 8: Masai Mara-Nairobi/Depart
Early morning game drive returning to the Camp for breakfast. Later transfer to the airstrip for flight back to Nairobi. On arrival at Wilson Airport, you will be met by your driver/guide and transfer back to Nairobi Serena Hotel or to Jomo Kenyatta international Airport.
